Trusted
We’re committed to being a reliable, secure and trusted electricity company, putting our customers at the heart of what we do.

Our pioneering products are helping to build a better industry for the businesses that operate within it and the customers that rely on it.
We know that being a sustainable business is a continuous process and requires a long-term, holistic approach to our sustainability ambitions. Our Journey so far…
SCIENCE-BASED TARGETS PROGRESS
Our full carbon footprint for 2025 is 2,718 tCO2e and you can find more information on how our value chain and activities have impacted our emissions in our latest report. We have achieved our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) near-term emissions reduction target for Scope 1, ahead of our target year of 2030.
CARBON LITERACY
We launched Carbon Literacy training in 2024, providing our team with the knowledge around climate change to enact positive change within their sphere of influence. We’ve since trained our second cohort of employees and, as of December 2025, 112 (73%) of our team across our business are certified as Carbon Literate.
SKA SILVER RATING
In early 2025, we made the move to our new office, to better support our growing team and help reach our future sustainability ambitions. Employee wellbeing and sustainability were key focuses for us in every step of the process and we’re proud to have achieved a Silver SKA rating for our sustainable approach during the design, fit-out and furnishing of our new office.
ENHANCING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we want to make sure that they receive the best experience possible. After signing up in 2024, in 2025 we embarked on our journey to become accredited with the Institute of Customer Service (ICS), an independent professional membership body. We’ve since provided bespoke training to our customer-facing and energy consultant-facing employees, to continuously improve our customer experience.
EXPANDED OPTIMISATION CAPABILITIES
We’ve expanded our team and established a new Optimisation Desk team, to enhance our in-house capabilities and support our customers through our flexibility optimisation services. We’re also joined all Distribution System Operator (DSO) schemes and are participants in the Local Constraint Market (LCM), to broaden the ways customers can provide flexibility to the grid at a more local level.
AN ACCREDITED VIRTUAL TRADING PARTY
This year, we achieved accreditation as a Virtual Trading Party (VTP), enabling us to offer our electricity flexibility optimisation product to a wider range of organisations, independent of their electricity supply contract – helping to support even more businesses in becoming active participants within the energy transition. Find out more about what this milestone means, here.
EMPLOYEE WELLBEING
We’ve continued to support our Mental Health First Aiders and EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) Champions in their strategies to create a healthy, positive and inclusive workplace and, in our latest survey, 80% of our employees said they’re proud to work for our company.
EVOLVING PRODUCTS
We’ve continued to develop new products that enable customers to participate in flexibility services and generate new revenue streams, whilst helping to balance the grid. Our new product, Pure Flex Access, allows customers to take advantage of the wholesale markets and create value from their on-site technologies.
EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION
Without our team, we wouldn’t be able to deliver our purpose. We know how important recognition is in ensuring that our team feel acknowledged and appreciated, and in 2025 worked to create a structured, consistent and inclusive approach to recognition through the establishment of our new recognition programme.
SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
In 2025, we invested in a series of system upgrades and improvements in order to grow our capabilities in light of the changing energy landscape. We started this journey to equip us for the Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programme and it will enable agility for more complex products and enhanced customer service in the future.
INDUSTRY COLLABORATION
It’s important for us to facilitate and drive important conversations in our industry, so in June 2026 we hosted our second industry partner event on ‘Our Collective Role in Powering a Sustainable Energy Future’. Key industry figures came together to discuss the changing energy landscape, and the considerations and opportunities this may present to businesses.
EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT
An average of 4.11 training days were completed per employee in 2025, exceeding our annual company training target. 23 employees have also been promoted internally in this time, as they advance their careers with us.
SCIENCE-BASED TARGETS EXPLAINED
SBTi provides a framework and guidelines for companies to set targets that are in line with the latest climate science and the objectives of the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
We’ve joined over 10,000 companies that have set SBTi targets with clearly defined pathways to reduce emissions, playing our part in tackling climate change.
OUR SBTi TARGETS
- Bryt Energy commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2030 from a 2020 base year.
- Bryt Energy also commits to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions by 52% per MWh of renewable electricity* supplied within the same timeframe.
Our most recent progress towards achieving our SBTi targets is documented and discussed in our Bryt by Nature 2026 mid-year update.
CARBON LITERACY
In 2024, we launched Carbon Literacy training to empower our team with the knowledge and skills to take climate action. Our sessions covered the science around climate change and the important role the energy sector has to play in achieving net zero. We are the first renewable electricity supplier to become a Carbon Literate Organisation!
As of December 2025, 112 (73%) of our team across the business are now certified as Carbon Literate.
