Developing a business energy strategy fit for a net zero future
*Bryt Energy purchases electricity through our parent company, Statkraft, who procure the electricity volume to meet our customers’ contracted amount from the wholesale electricity market. Bryt Energy purchases and manages Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificates to match this volume to ensure that we have a sufficient amount in order to supply renewable power to all of our customers across a year – therefore allowing our customers to report zero carbon for their electricity consumption under Scope 2 of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol market-based method.
In accordance with electricity suppliers’ standard licence conditions (SLC), we report our Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD) annually – 100% of the total amount of electricity supplied by Bryt Energy during the period 2024/25 was matched with Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) certificates. FAQs on our FMD and products are available here. Our supply products have been audited and verified by an independent third party, SE Advisory Services (formerly EcoAct). View our verification assurance statement here.
As standard in Great Britain, electricity to all properties is supplied via National Grid’s transmission and local distribution networks (not directly from any renewable generator), so you will be provided with electricity from a mix of generation sources (this may include fossil fuels) that the grid is being supplied with at that time.
