Content Writer


Full time Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week. We have a Hybrid working approach, but the successful candidate will be required to be in the office a minimum of 1 day a week.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative Content Writer to join our expanding marketing team.


  • Joining a passionate unique team within Bryt Energy where marketing meets sustainability and drives the company’s purpose.
  • Reporting into the Marketing Manager to deliver engaging written content from the multichannel marketing plan for the zero carbon, 100% renewable energy supply company.
  • Working closely with the subject matter experts to create content that delivers the company’s growth objectives by educating and raising awareness.
  • Be at the forefront of not only sustainability marketing but being involved with education and engaging content campaigns to inspire businesses to challenge their status quo and think differently about their energy strategy to get them to Net Zero.
  • Getting deep into research and insight to create thought leading content.
  • Working with the sales team to ensure our tender responses are the best they can be to win new/retain customers.
  • Living and breathing the Bryt Energy brand and tone of voice and purpose into our content to ensure consistency and accuracy across everything we do.


  • Write informative and engaging articles/content to educate audience and help Bryt Energy showcase our expertise. With compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience, attract customers and boost brand awareness from newsletters, blog posts, Q&As, tender responses to press releases.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and team from concept to delivery of final piece.
  • Undertake thorough research on energy and sustainability related topics (combining online sources, interviews and own studies) and present in a clear, easy to understand way and relatable for our B2B audience.
  • Identify customers’ / partners needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topic ideas.
  • Revise following feedback, proofread and edit all articles before publication.
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic on our knowledge hub.
  • Follow brand guidelines and ensure all-around consistency of content (style, fonts, images and tone of voice).
  • Compose responses to tenders/FAQs ensuring all Bryt Energy’s key marketing messages are included, written in our tone of voice.
  • Collate up to date information from all departments, sector trends and compile an ongoing set of tender answers and insights.
  • Revise existing content to reflect business changes or new preferences.
  • Research and evaluate competitor marketing with a focus on content.
  • Assist the marketing team in developing content for campaigns.
  • Update website & social media content as needed.
  • Work with relevant internal stakeholders to abide by regulatory requirements such as CMA/ASA.
  • Continuously identify, develop and document processes, collateral and reports that will benefit the team and company.

Education and Training:

  • Qualifications in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or related field.
  • Proven content writing or copywriting experience.
  • Experience of research from multiple sources.
  • Familiarity with web publications and SEO.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems e.g., WordPress.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • A portfolio of published articles/whitepapers/blogs/research/social media.

  • Excellent research, writing, editing and grammatical skills in English.
  • Ability to adapt approach/tone based on requirements, new direction or feedback.
  • Ability to understand various topics, what customers are searching for, and the needs of the business.

  • Effective communication skills – relay information clearly to audience, whether it’s content for storytelling or a call to action following a sales pitch.
  • Self-starter, able to work to tight deadlines, managing multiple projects whilst being focused on key objectives.
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels/backgrounds and develop and maintain effective and credible working relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team and subject matter experts.
  • Research and interview skills to pull out key points.
